This unit will help leaners to make informed decisions about the alternatives to paid work. They will understand how the skills gained from participating in unpaid work will be relevant and transferable to other career paths.

The skills used as a volunteer can be a positive addition to an individual’s career plans. This unit will help the learner to identify the key skills gained from working on a voluntary task and recognise how these may be of benefit to them when making future career plans.
The unit will help learners to develop the skills needed to successfully manage a budget. They will understand how to manage their outgoings and will consider the benefits of saving money.

This unit will show learners how to stay healthy at work. Learners will gain an understanding of the role they play in managing their health as well as the responsibility of their employer to provide a safe and healthy working environment.
