Lynne Zawlocki – IT programmes
Lynne Zawlocki is 41–years–old and lives in Redditch near Birmingham. She is kept busy running around after her 13–year–old twins and five–year–old granddaughter and also has a new–found interest in her computer.
Lynne came across vision2learn whilst searching the Internet and has never looked back. She had a look at the range of courses available and opted for an intermediate level IT programme. The course helped Lynne to gain loads of practical new IT skills and, most importantly, it really boosted her confidence. She said:
"I liked the fact that I could do the course at home, in my own time, with nobody breathing down my neck."
"I feel that the most important skill that I gained was confidence in using my computer. I was always very scared of pressing the wrong buttons, believing that I could mess the whole system up."
Getting her IT skills up to scratch means that Lynne can now keep up with her kids and she has a fantastic new qualification to add to her CV. She added:
"Completing the course means that I can now interact with my children better and take a more active part in what they are doing on the computer. I also feel that now I can better my career prospects."
Lynne has been telling everyone she knows about the benefits of online learning. She commented:
"I would certainly recommend e–learning. My 23–year–old daughter is just beginning the same course that I have completed."
"If you’re unsure, just go for it! You will surprise yourself and any fears that you have will soon disappear once you start the course, and you realise ‘yes I can do it’."
The course threw up a few challenges for Lynne, but she quickly got through any problems with the help of her online tutor. She said:
"If I was having difficulty I would get in touch with my tutor. On several occasions she suggested that it was not a good idea to throw my computer against the wall!"
"She would send me extra instructions on how to do a task which I could follow really well. But, my motivation never really wavered as I so wanted to prove to my children and family that I could do this."
Lynne has now signed up for a second vision2learn IT course and thanks to her new–found confidence, is keen to set up her own charity group. She added:
"I really enjoyed the unit about creating web–pages and due to this I have now signed up for a vision2learn interactive media course. Once I have completed this, I will be staring a charity group for children with arthritis as this is a subject very close to our family."
"Without vision2learn this would not have been possible for me. Thank you to everyone!"
