Kerry Wright – IT programmes and Equality and Diversity
Thirty–nine–year–old Kerry Wright from Beverley in East Yorkshire is a mum of four children
and also works full–time as a senior manager for public services. Kerry really enjoys using her computer and surfing the web.
Kerry first came across vision2learn when she was on maternity leave. She said:
"Whilst on maternity leave I found I had time on my hands – hard to believe I know! So, I surfed the web for courses that I could do at little or no cost."
Kerry was thrilled to discover vision2learn, as all the courses were free and can be studied entirely online. She said:
"Having four children, I had little opportunity to access further education at college, so an online course gave me the flexibility to study when the children were in bed."
Kerry has now completed five vision2learn courses, including Equality and Diversity and the Essential IT Skills @ Work NVQ. She commented:
"I have further developed my skills and gained a sense of achievement upon completing the courses."
"I have already forwarded details to a friend of mine as I have identified a vision2learn course that I know he will enjoy and benefit from."
Kerry was a motivated and independent learner, but if she came across any stumbling blocks, she could rely on her online tutor for help. She added:
"My tutor provided useful guidance and was a mentor throughout."
When asked if she would consider completing further vision2learn courses, Kerry said:
"Absolutely, it is a great way to gain further skills!"
Kerry proves that you can never to busy to learn new skills. She is a great example of what you can achieve when you put your mind to it.
