Jennifer Green – Health and Safety
Twenty–five–year–old Jennifer Green lives in a village near Huddersfield. Jennifer is kept very busy looking after her two
disabled children and also finds the time for voluntary care work, helping out in her local rainbow unit and taking part in the playgroup
committee. During her rare leisure time, Jennifer also enjoys kick–boxing and karate.
Jennifer found out about vision2learn through a friend and opted for the free Health and Safety course. She said:
"I chose to do Health and Safety as it will be a valuable asset to my CV, as well as being relevant for what I do now."
Learning online was the perfect way for Jennifer to fit studying into her busy lifestyle.
"With my children, I couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t be in hospital or missing classes because my kids were ill. Learning with vision2learn was really flexible and I could study at midnight if I wanted to."
The course has helped Jennifer to regain confidence in her ability to learn. She said:
"I hoped to get my brain working again and I did. The course appealed as it’s something that is important to any job and something I could manage to stick to."
"It has shown me that I can still do work and my brain cells weren’t killed off from having children!"
Jennifer also benefited from the help and support of her own online tutor. She added:
"The feedback my tutor left was very helpful, as after every unit he gave me advice on how to start the next one, such as websites to look at etc. My work was marked and feedback was given really fast, which means a lot when you are returning to learning as I was."
Jennifer has really caught the learning bug and is keen to tell her friends about the benefits of online learning.
"Three of my friends have signed up for vision2learn courses after I told them how easy it was to do the work. They can study in their own time, and believe me, if I can fit it in and do well then anyone can!"
Jennifer just goes to show that anyone can find the time to learn. She’s now continuing her studies with vision2learn’s Healthy Living course.
