Gwen Boyce – IT programmes
Fifty–year–old Gwen Boyce lives in Canterbury in Kent. She is currently a full time volunteer for a charity for the hearing impaired. Much of Gwen’s free time is taken up with other commitments, such as her role as secretary for the Canterbury ‘Hard of Hearing’ club.
Gwen was searching for an online IT course when she came across the vision2learn website. The courses immediately appealed to her and she opted for an intermediate level IT course. Gwen explains:
"Online learning was great, because you were not restricted to certain times each week. I could study whenever I had any spare time. My tutor was excellent. She contacted me on several occasions as she hadn’t heard from me and was very supportive in her feedback."
As well as enjoying the structure and flexibility of the course, Gwen also found the content interesting and useful. She said:
"Although I already knew a fair amount about the programmes I use on my computer, I knew there was more I could do with them. The vision2learn IT course taught me a great deal and has made my work a lot easier."
"I have to produce newsletters and I tend to go for easy solutions and use the artwork that is already available. Now I will be creating my own artwork with my own pictures, thanks to this course."
Gwen was so impressed with vision2learn that she has already recommended it to several colleagues.
"My manager’s wife wants to learn how to use a computer so I have recommended your beginner level IT course. I have also recommended the vision2learn programmes to a lot of elderly people, as I found my course very easy to follow and everything was in plain English. You are also given explanations about the computer language."
Gwen has boosted her confidence and her skills. Why not see what you could achieve with vision2learn?
