Anne Wood – IT programmes

Anne Wood is 43 years old and lives in Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. She works in a greengrocers shop in her local village. Anne has been married for twenty years and has two teenage boys. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and watching her kids playing rugby and cricket.

Anne first came across vision2learn during an Internet search and has never looked back.

She said: "I enrolled on a basic IT course with vision2learn because I had just bought a computer and didn’t know anything about them. I then followed this course up with an intermediate level programme on vision2learn."

"I chose to do an online course because, at that time, I was working in a nursing home for the elderly and didn’t have much time spare to go to lessons – this way I could learn when I wanted, at home."

Vision2learn’s IT courses have really helped Anne to gain confidence on her computer and she can even keep up with her teenage sons. She commented:

"The vision2learn IT courses showed me all the basic training I needed to work and understand my computer. When my son talked about what he had done at school I could understand what he was talking about! I was also keen to learn because one day I hope to get a job using computers and doing this has put me on the right track."

Online learning was really convenient for Anne and she appreciated the constant help and support from her online tutor at Park Lane College.

"The courses were easy to manage and I found my way around the website easily. If I had any trouble, all I had to do was to contact my tutor who was absolutely superb. It was like having one to one tuition and it made me more confident to carry on. Plus, I could keep going over the learning process if I got stuck with anything, I didn’t feel pressured by any deadlines."
