Adam Loveridge – Practical Emotional Intelligence Skills
Adam Loveridge is a 35–year–old Bank Manager from Bristol. In his spare time Adam enjoys self–development, reading and
travel and he also has a keen interest in community work.
Adam was eager to learn more about the subject of Emotional Intelligence, as he believed it could really benefit him at work. He came across vision2learn’s Practical Emotional Intelligence Skills course during an Internet search and signed up straight away.
He said: "I was attracted to the idea of learning online as I could work in my own time when it was convenient. This course also met my training needs and was relevant to me and to my job."
Emotional Intelligence – the ability to understand and control emotions, and recognise and respond to those of others – is emerging as the single most effective business skill of the new century.
Adam has learnt a great deal about this fascinating subject area and is able to utilise his newfound skills both at work and at home. He commented:
"This course has provided me with valuable knowledge and points to consider. It has helped me to organise my thinking in an area I felt that I needed to improve on. It has also facilitated my goal setting for further improvements and moving forward."
His busy job leaves little free time for study, so learning online was ideal. Adam said:
"It allowed me to study at my own pace and at times that suited me. The mixture of needing to seek feedback, combined with online learning, prompted me to think more clearly about the subject matter."
He is happy to recommend online learning to others:
"It allows you to choose your own pace and complete your studies in your own time. Interaction is available if you need it, through both the exercises and the online forum. It also allows you to spend the time you want or need to consider each individual aspect of the course."
"If you’re thinking about studying with vision2learn – just do it. This course provides valuable insights and the studying can actually become addictive."
Adam had lots of help and support from his online tutor, who was always available to provide feedback and offer advice. He said:
"The quick and relevant feedback from my tutor helped me to maintain my motivation and pace throughout the course. On the one occasion where I was unexpectedly unable to complete any work for a couple of weeks, the tutor phoned me to make sure that everything was OK. This helped to prompt me and not just let the course drift."
Vision2learn has helped Adam to train in a subject that interests him. He just goes to show that even the busiest people can fit learning into their lives.
